The Company
Our client is an industry leader in Packaging Graphic Services for pre-press, imaging and management of design to print execution. With 2000 employees worldwide, 60 years experience, and many strategic locations across the globe they are a leader in their field.

The Role
In order to manage requirements for the production of packaging artwork and reprographics, they are currently are recruiting for a Print Production Manager. Based on-site with a key client you will integrate the company’s services into the client environment. Part of a wider Account team you will report directly to the Business Director.
Initial training in the UK will be a requirement prior to re-location. International travel will also be involved.

Responsibilities will include
• Working closely with Design/Brand/Product Development to understand expectations and provide input to deliver and improve upon base designs
• Convene meetings and coordinate e.g. pre-production meetings
• Provide print feasibility assessment during graphics development, working with printers and providing leadership to resolve print feasibility issues
• Acting as key interface in supply chain on issues concerning finished appearance of graphics
• Support delivery of high quality results through application of existing print quality program
• Timely delivery of accurate artwork execution, colour separations and print tools
• Management of critical path schedule
• Quality checking and measurement of printed samples
• Press attendance and support in assessment & qualification of new printers
• Production of regular management information

Requirements
The candidate will demonstrate first rate project management skills, interpersonal skills and in-depth knowledge of print processes and packaging – including flexible packaging. Computer literacy and IT awareness is essential. The coordination of dynamic projects will require excellent written and spoken English. You will have worked in a packaging print or packaging reprographics environment with a detailed knowledge of quality packaging design, artwork and print. Experience of an international company and multicultural environment would be advantageous.
Candidates must be willing to re-locate and be flexible for international travel.
