Job Description
Summary of Position
To provide a high quality, customer-focused service, through teamwork, communication and innovation
Accountabilities
To deliver the required service to the customer in accordance with defined work instructions and to meet the relevant Service Level Agreement(s).
• General Advise customers on the services available and report customer issues/concerns to the Supervisor or Operations Manager ensuring you respond appropriately to customer complaints to ensure a satisfactory conclusion.
• Accurately complete the handover book and perform quality checks on own and others’ work, as required.
• Driver To ensure vehicle is kept roadworthy and clean at all times and ensure that the vehicle is services in compliance with manufacturer’s recommendations completing Vehicle Condition Check sheets daily and mileage record sheets.
• To comply with all relevant legislation and Highway Code recommendations at all times.
• Mail & Messenger Receive and sort incoming mail and use appropriate ‘look-up’ system to resolve sorting queries.
• Deliver mail to required internal and external locations.
• Sort and deliver internal mail and other items and collect, process and despatch outgoing mail from required internal locations.
• Receive incoming parcels, packages, recorded/registered mail, faxes etc. and to deliver / arrange delivery to addressee.
• Receive courier requests and organise collection and delivery of packages.
• Operate high volume automated mail insertion equipment, ensuring a high level of quality and integrity in the process.
• Carry out bulk mailings, mail shots and desk drops, as required ensuring that cost effective methods are used for despatch of outgoing mail, balanced with customer requirements.
• Communicate effectively with other team members, management and customers and work with other team members to deliver excellent customer service.
Business Knowledge/Educational Background (Essential and Preferred)
• Basic PC Skills with experience in MS Office
• Must be Customer Focused
• Must have UK/EU Driving Licence with maximum of 6 endorsement points
• Must be a team player
• Minimum GCSE level education or equivalent
