Job Description

Our Client a major, prestigious Blue Chip Retailer is currently seeking to add a Packaging Technologist/Manager to their expanding team. The role will be reporting directly to and supporting the Packaging Technical Manager, therefore the individual we seek will already be operating in a similar role, with a passion for packaging and the experience and expertise to provide the necessary support needed in this important position.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in:

Ensuring that packaging meets marketing, financial, legal, environmental & safety requirements.
Working through a development brief containing details of the type of packaging that is needed and seeing it through to implementation.
Closely working on the artwork with graphic designers to make sure it fits in with the company's marketing and branding.
Laboratory work.
Negotiating with suppliers and liaising with colleagues involved in purchasing, research and development and production.

Interested parties will need to:

Have a detailed technical understanding of the industry
Be abreast of current trends.
Encompass a good all round, wide knowledge of materials
Have an interest and posses in depth expertise in science, materials and design.
