Job Description
The job specification can be broken down loosely as follows:-
10% Creative design (from scratch, raw client ideas, etc) (Mainly MAC but sometimes part/all PC)
60% Revising and reproofing these newly created designs, finding & updating and reproofing old files - stationery, leaflets, magazines, etc
10% Checking files received from customer, "debugging", and amending layout & reproofing.
10% Sending approved files to print - film or digital + potentially writing orders for litho & checking 1st digital prints
10% Answering phones, basic digital and litho estimating, greeting customers, running Xerox/Large Format + assisting other areas, as necessary
The vacancy principally is for a MAC Designer/Operator (although PC experience would be beneficial). The successful applicant will also have a sound pre-press experience, creative flair as well as having technical skills in Adobe, Quark & PDF Workflow.
The standard hours are 9.30am – 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
