Job Description
Our client is a major print organisation and due to a constant growth within their business they have a fantastic opportunity for a Tender / Bid Manager. You role is to assist the company to achieve its given targets for annual revenue and profit growth by providing professional Sales Support services to support the business (primarily the Sales function) in securing net new business and organic growth in existing customers.
You will co-ordinate other functions within the business to carry out an initial assessment of potential opportunities arising from sales leads, tenders and RFPs/RFQs. You will have some knowledge of sales or sales support activities extending to an understanding of the sales cycle, and involving formal tender, bid or RFP/RFQ
processes.
The role will entail you to project manage the response to tenders and RFPs, as assigned by the Business Unit Controller, coordinating the involvement and support of colleagues from within Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, and other relevant functions.
You will assist and have input into the production of bespoke, high quality customer proposals, which reflect accurately customer's requirements. Further, to "sense check" any proposal or customer response and ensure that standards and procedures as specified in the company's Quality Manual, are adhered to.
You will create and maintain the administrative elements of each proposal and ensure that all activity is tracked and recorded in the company's bid library.
Finally you will manage and develop an effective Sales related database to provide real time data regarding the status of current and historic sales opportunities.
Pre-requisites
* Numerate and literate with a high level of basic education.
* Degree calibre, ideally with recognised management qualification.
* A highly organised and well-presented individual, with experience of Sales Support roles, preferably gained within a similar environment.
* People centric, good written and oral communication skills. Key Competencies, Experience and Training Requirements
