Job title: Business Development Manager
Remuneration: The basic salary is £30-50k (depending on how good you are!)
Location: North West

The Role
• The main challenges of the Business Development Manager’s role are:
o The successful candidate’s objectives will be to target key big box accounts in the North West area
o Manage the cost to serve to these key clients, and enhance margins.
o Deliver a growth plan to win £500-750k+ pa of new business in year one.


Main responsibilities include:
o Maintaining and exploring the growth of existing customer accounts;
o Developing profitable new business in line with the company strategy.

The Person
• The key experience and knowledge requirements for the role of Business Development Manager:
o A proven track record of sales results and a pedigree in business development (essential).
o Sound knowledge of the corrugated packaging industry.
o The successful candidate MUST have good experience of winning and managing sizable corrugated accounts.
o Also, he / she will have a dextrous selling style that builds solutions – rather than just quoting like-for-like in the hope of winning work on price alone.
