Job title: Field Sales Executive
Remuneration: £25-30K (depending on experience), car, laptop and phone.
Location: Based in Coventry or surrounding area covering Warwickshire, Northants, Coventry & Nuneaton up to Burton-On-Trent.


Our client is looking for a Field Sales Executive. They specialise in the design and manufacture of cardboard products and packaging solutions. With over 80 years’ experience in product development and production, they have earned a commanding reputation as leaders in their field. This opportunity has now arisen for a Field Sales Executive to join their team. For this role our client is seeking a sales professional with the ability to make an impact from day one.

The Company

• Our client is a Midlands-based corrugated sheet plant business, with a broad product range; from POS and solid board to conventional brown boxes.
• Conducting business with nobility has not prejudiced client-focus and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• There is also a growing willingness to elevate their game, with a restless drive to offer leading edge service to clients whilst buying very competitively.


The Role

• The main challenges of the role are:
o The successful candidate’s objectives will be to develop point-of-sale product sales from scratch to £250K+ in the first year.
o Manage the cost to serve to these key clients, and enhance margins.
o Deliver a growth plan to gain £250-500K of new business every year depending on experience.
o As a Field Sales Executive you’ll be responsible for selling the company’s solutions to businesses throughout the east side of the West Midlands, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. Your role will involve both new business and selling to existing contacts to a very wide client base including engineering and manufacturing companies, retailers and SMEs.
o It is envisaged you will spend the majority of your time visiting clients, though occasional travel to the West Midlands based office will be required in order to pick up samples/products for meetings etc.

The Person

• The key experience and knowledge requirements for the role:
o Packaging experience (essential).
o A proven track record of POS and brown box packaging sales results (essential).
o A sound technical knowledge of POS and brown box corrugated packaging.

• The key personal behaviours and attitudes required for the role are:
o Customer focused;
o A driven and persuasive personality;
o A team-player with a passion;
o Strong influencing / negotiating skills;
o Good organisational skills and attention to detail;
o Good communication skills.
