Job Description

This leading print management client is currently looking for a 3D Structural Designer to join the creative team.

With the biggest clients in Europe this company focuses on the point of attraction within different industries which include cosmetics, Home improvements, FMCG and many more.
They work alongside their clients to insure they work close together in order to achieve the best return on investment (ROI)
Objective of this position will include taking and understanding 3-D design briefs from sales teams or clients and have responsibility for creating innovative and value engineered specifications.
Take responsibility for the installation of the CAD system, maintaining the 3-D studio and taking an active role in quality control within relevant operating procedures.

Duties

* To co-ordinate the implementation of the AG CAD system, setting up digital communication links with all relevant departments
* Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the CAD software and any future upgrades or additional packages relevant to the role.
* To provide accurate specification information to enable the smooth processing of enquiries between sales, estimating and production.
* To produce accurate prototypes, where possible using the CAD system, to meet the requirements of clients and production
* To take an active role in the Technical Review of 3-D production orders.
* To provide accurate cutter guides to enable the production of digital artwork and cutting forme production.
* Provide colour visuals and miniatures using the CAD software as required.
* Produce Assembly Instructions which are comprehensive and easily understood.
* To create and maintain a digital library of proven 3-D specifications in both digital and hard copy form.
* To act as a technical liaison between departments as necessary.
* To liase with all departments with regard to the use of pre-press software and hardware and materials as required.
* To Provide production with a 3D sample for Quality Control for all new designs
* To establish and maintain the Design Studio as an extension to the sales office environment. Maintain material and consumable stocks as necessary.
* To maintain a professional image as part of the 3-D sales team appropriate for direct client contact (refer to appearance code in the staff handbook).

This position will be based just outside Leeds and requires candidates living with 45 minutes radius to apply.

Salary will depend on the person's experience, graduates are welcome to apply as they would consider training for the right person.

This position is required for someone to start ASAP-1 month.
