Job Description

This market leading household name in confectionery seeks an experienced Packaging Technologist with a flair for innovation. The key factor in this recruitment is to find a candidate with a track record in working with a premium/luxury brand as the successful candidate will be used to working with a wide brief and being able to focus this idea into something new and befitting of the brand whilst also ensuring that the pack is fit for purpose, tamper evident etc. The role will involve some travelling between sites.

Working with Buyers and Designers to develop new packaging concepts for all products through

Supporting development of new concepts to meet brief and target cost

Thorough testing to ensure the packaging is fit for purpose through all distribution channels

Understanding the production / logistics requirements for the packaging

Ensure packaging components comply with relevant regulations and are fit for purpose

Propose and develop innovative solutions for packaging problems of both new and existing product concepts and in line with range strategy.

Work on a pipeline of new packaging ideas and techniques to feed into NPD for all brands.
