The Role

To develop and manage the Outwork Purchasing process. To achieve total cost reductions by reducing total supply chain costs, and create a professional Purchasing Team that manages all costs in a professional, controlled manner. To attain and maintain a healthy Purchasing profile within the business and assist the sales process where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• To achieve cost reductions and supply chain efficiencies
• Project management, leading and facilitating the successful delivery of major projects connecting internal and multi supplier activities, whilst maintaining client focus and communication.
• Collaborate with product design to maximise commercial opportunities both internally and via our external supply chain
• To improve customer service by improving stock availability and lead-time reduction the support of a low cost agile supply chain that delivers our needs and continually innovates
• Ensure that all supplier agreements are in accordance with best practice
• To contribute to the monthly management reports as required
• Where applicable to visit suppliers providing technical support as applicable
• To deploy and implement Purchasing strategies and tactics
• To apply appropriate e-procurement tools as necessary
• Conduct supplier audits and evaluations
• To press pass printed work where applicable
