Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a Finishing Manager at the Wisbech site. As a member of the Management team, reporting into the Operations Manager, this role will be to manage the functions of the production shopfloor in relation to Finishing (Cut & Crease / Folder & Glue), the sleeve, carton and skillets business at Wisbech – ensuring that the manning plans are efficient and fit in with the business requirements.

Main Duties Include but are not restricted to

? Performance of the Finishing (Cut & Crease / Folder & Glue) Department is your primary concern. You must ensure the very best production is achieved through the close management of the schedule produced by you and the Planner. In particular you must manage and motivate the operators to achieve and better the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) set for
o Health & Safety
o Make Ready Times
o Run Speeds
o Downtime
o Waste
o Quality
• Monitoring the timekeeping of your team, ensuring that all forms of absences are recorded.
• Controlling annual leave for the department.
• To manage and maintain the Training and Development of the Finishing department needs.
Requirements

? Experience of managing a team of people is essential.
? Experience of carton manufacturing would be preferable.
? To be able to provide regular reports to the Production Management team.
? At all times to be able to communicate with the factory in an appropriate manner that reflects the position of a Manager within the business.
This is a challenging role and good communication skills, problem solving, drive and enthusiasm with the ability to achieve set key performance indicators is essential. You will need to be capable of working either on your own initiative or as part of a team.
