Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE
Provide an Artwork/repro provision to Paragon Group customers, across labels, board and film. Provide support to Studio Manager/Studio Supervisor/Studio Administrator in carrying out any other duties as agreed.
REQUIREMENTS
The following knowledge, skills and abilities are the minimum requirements for the position of System Operator based in the studio area. The System Operator is a key position in the studio team, and as such will be expected to commit to the expectations that are common to all members-
•Know the studio’s product, processes and policies.
•Know who the internal/external customers are and what their expectations are and understand their processes in this area.
•Communicate effectively.
•Exhibit and use coaching skills.
•Have a working knowledge of studio (artwork/photographic/repro) and pre-press processes/tools.
•Behave in a professional manner.
•Show working/technical knowledge of all software packages, (in order of priority)-

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
This list is not exhaustive and is subject to change with changing circumstances/priorities.
•Provide timely artwork/repro provision for Paragon Group customers inclusive of suppliers and retailers, within studio procedures, whilst being very mindful of quality of artwork/repro and Customer Satisfaction.
•Support Studio Management team to set and maintain studio workflows on the work above while maintaining a level of good housekeeping both Studio and Studio Systems/equipment.
•Suggest and support implementation of systems/procedures to help maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
•Communicate workflow progress and issues to Studio Manager/Studio Supervisor and Studio Administrator.
•Ensure corporate and artwork guidelines of brands are kept up to date. Offer technical support and communication to colleagues as and when corporate changes of brands/specific customer guidelines occur.
•Ensure that your role is covered in event of sickness and holidays.
•Ensure through the appraisal process that you are always trained to carry out your role effectively.
•Support general Studio output as specific account responsibility/capacity allows, while maintaining self discipline and a positive work ethic.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS
To ensure that consideration and good relations are maintained at all times.
To liaise and communicate fully at all times with your Line Manager and relevant personnel within the Dept/Group framework.
To fully participate as a Dept, Site and Paragon Group team member.
INTERNAL
Line Manager To inform and support your Line Manager.
Studio To communicate fully with Studio contacts (management and operators) and assist whenever issues arise relating to your specific area of responsibility within the studio environment.
EXTERNAL
To respond professionally and efficiently to any contact with internal/external customers.
To approve before offering sensitive information to external sources.
To keep abreast of any technology changes/advancements in relation to your area of responsibility.
KEY CHALLENGES (Key Performance Indicators)
•Reader rejections – Rejection rate based on agreed criteria
•Missed delivery – Jobs on time against jobs attempted
•Customer complaints.
