Artworker / Prepress - Studio

Our client is a large format digital and graphics company based in the South East. They have an impressive blue chip client list and a team of people with a strong ‘can do attitude’. The Pre-Press Artworker will report to the Head of Print and will be responsible for the preparation and storage of artwork. Responsibilities include

•Preparing artwork received from clients ready for printing
•Producing proofs and visuals when required
•Liaising directly with clients regarding changes to artwork as required
•Supporting other departments within the company with their artwork requirements
•Managing and storing all artwork on the server
•Occasionally attending client and internal meetings to offer creative suggestions
•Developing knowledge of the print/design industry, keeping up to date with new materials and products
•Good communication and interpersonal skills
•Good telephone manner
•Strong project management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
•Self motivated with good organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative
•Willingness to work unsociable hours (including weekends)
•A background in Adobe Creative Suite i.e. Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.
•Knowledge in the following would be beneficial Quark, Dreamweaver, Corel, etc.
•A background on both PC and Mac’s.
•Experience with RIPS such as Colorgate & Fiery
•Understanding of Large format printers such as Canon, Mimaki & Vutek
•Good understanding of finishing methods and materials
•Understanding of installation methods
•Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
