Job Description

Geoff Neal Litho Limited has expanded its press room machinery by purchasing a Heidelberg Speedmaster SM52 4 + coater Anicolor press. This press is due for delivery August /September 2012 and will further our environmental awareness due to the 40% reduction in make ready times and 90% reduction in waste. We are aiming to compete with the digital market with this cost effective short-run press using conventional printing plates and Heidelberg Saphira inks.

We are recruiting 2 people to operate this B3 press on opposite 36 hour week continental shifts.

The successful candidates will have already worked in print, operating litho or digital machines and already be aware of the stringent requirements that print clients are requesting more and more from their print suppliers.

In order for the Anicolor to run to its optimum level, the maintenance schedule must be adhered to and adopted as a standard part of the working week.

The Anicolor’s innovative zoneless inking system provides each printing plate with the correct volume of ink required throughout the entire run. This innovative technology will require a special type of person. There will be a large throughput of small run jobs, so we require highly motivated operators who are able to pay full attention to detail and are able to work on their own initiative, with minimum management involvement.

You must be able to work consistently to a high standard, working confidently within a fast paced environment meeting tight deadlines. You will automatically take ownership of and responsibility for your own work, being proactive, liaising with colleagues in all areas of the company.

Only those who are used to working at a fast pace should apply as an average hour would require at least 5 jobs to be run, depending on the run length.

Good communication skills with colleagues and senior staff/managers and able to work as part of a team are a prerequisite.

In order for this new machine to aid Geoff Neal Litho Limited in increasing the bottom line, the operators must be dynamic and want the Anicolor to succeed.
