Job Description

RCS plc is an innovative media and print company, specialising in providing products direct and through Resellers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Despatch Supervisor to lead and oversee a small team of staff. This is a hands on role that requires a high degree of flexibility and would suit someone who can multi-task, work to tight deadlines, has excellent communication skills and is computer literate.

Reporting directly into the Operations Director you will be responsible for the efficient running of the Despatch Department on a day to day basis, ensuring that all jobs are packed and despatched in accordance with company policy and procedures.

A high attention to detail is required to ensure the smooth running of the department and to maintain exceptional quality standards.

You will require good manual handling skills as some heavy lifting will be involved.

A Reach FLT licence is desirable.

Duties will include but are not limited to

•Planning and monitoring the storage, delivery and dispatch of orders
•Processing orders to internal timelines and courier arrangements
•Coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems
Liaising with external couriers
•Responding to and dealing with internal communication by email and telephone
•Overseeing stock control of dispatch items
•Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork to ensure productivity targets are met
•Maintaining standards of Health & Safety and security in the work environment

A 12 month fixed term contract with the possibility of a permanent role.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday based on a 40 hour week falling between 0830 – 1900.
