3D Cardboard Designer/Engineer required for busy, well equipped Design Workshop within a Luxury Packaging manufacturer in East London. The position would suit a graphic designer with a flair for making luxury product packaging and promotional items or a cardboard engineer with a flair for innovation.
Working with some of the world’s best brands, the work is both interesting and rewarding. For the right applicant there will be an opportunity to train on all design studio equipment, therefore the ability to become a complete all rounder is paramount.

Core Skills required

• CAD cutting prototypes on automated KaseMake sampling table.
• Preferably conversant with with Kasemake & Flexisign (training on site can be provided to the right candidate).
• Natural flair for conceptual designing of rigid and fold flat packaging.
• Box, Bag, Gift Set Prototyping
• Provide accurate cutter guides, visuals and dummies.
• Good knowledge of printing substrates
• Ability to source new and unusual materials and suppliers
• Keen eye for detail
• IT Literate and familiar with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Microsoft Office packages.

Additional Skills – training can be provided.
• Print + cut using roll fed digital machines (HP & Roland)
• Weed, cover and apply vinyl graphics
• Mounting & laminating various graphics
• Application/Installation of graphics
• Quality control
• Maintenance of machinery
• UK Driving license –useful, but not essential.
