Job Description

We have an exciting vacancy for a Mac Operator / File Prep, working within the Operations department based at Redditch.

You will work as part of a dedicated team and your duties will include

• Set artwork correctly utilising the latest software programmes
• Follow both verbal and written briefs
• Follow department guidelines to ensure consistency of work
• Learn and understand all the different print processes within SP and the pre-press that is required.
• Increase knowledge of all programmes and software
• Take a conscientious approach to both work and communication
• Follow strict QC procedures ensuring all artworking and amends are checked before submission
• Take a pro-active approach to producing work always striving to achieve the best quality
• Ensure communication of issues are prompt and clear
• Aim for continuous improvement in all areas
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations

Key Skills
• Experience of artworking software (Quark, Indesign, Photoshop, etc).
• Professional outlook and computer literate.
• Decisive and Positive outlook.
• Experience within a printing / production services / commercial function - desirable
• Experience in using enterprise scale computer systems in a distribution, fulfilment and/or commercial printing environment (such as Red Prairie, SAP, Tharstern, or similar) – desirable.
• Working knowledge of Kodak Prinergy and associated systems – desirable.
• Confident, Demonstrable analytical skills and excellent critical reasoning skills - desirable
• Commercial print (litho, screen, digital, etc) knowledge as well as POS Market knowledge – desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills – desirable.
