E M S Manager
Environmental Management Systems

Reporting directly to the Operations Director you will work closely with the senior management team and be responsible for providing a comprehensive support service in relation to Health, Safety and Environmental management and compliance.

The successful candidate will have
a minimum NEBOSH general certificate
experience of implementing policies to meet ISO 140012004
knowledge and experience of IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention Control)
knowledge and experience of Climate Change Levy Agreement and EU ETS (European Union Emission Trading Scheme
broad knowledge of manufacturing procedures
excellent communication skills
management and influencing skills to guide and support all employees to contribute positively the requirements of HS&E legislation and local policies
experience of auditing procedural compliance.

Specific tasks will include
Maintenance of the ISO 140012004 Environmental Management System
The organising, monitoring and auditing of all Environmental and Health & Safety Systems as well as reporting to senior management through regular reviews
Coaching employees with quality tools, system changes and policy revisions to create a strong cultural awareness
Liaising with local authorities and accredited bodies to ensure the business complies with legislative requirements
Auditing business procedures, reporting and addressing compliance concerns
