Job Description

A leading national retail company (200+ stores) is urgently seeking an experienced studio/project manager to join their POS team. The successful candidate will lead the POS team in the management, production and delivery of numerous, business-critical promotional point-of-sale events, in an impactful, cost-effective and timely fashion.

Key Responsibilities:

- Co-create the look and feel of POS events, identify key campaign and promotional themes and interpret these 'stories' in-store via appropriate items of POS.
- Provide creative steer in Studio to ensure that concepts and key selling messages are appropriately interpreted
- Work with marketing planning to schedule POS events (particularly artwork, approvals, production and delivery dates)
- Devise and distribute appropriate briefing documentation, to form an agency and/or studio brief, then brief design and artwork into studio, or to third-parties
- Act as functional expert within the business concerning POS queries
- Manage the POS budget. Determine the annual budget, decide on the appropriate level of investment per in-store event.
- Brief print production suppliers on the delivering requirements of each campaign, and oversee delivery from artwork hand-off to arrival of POS and implementation packs in-store
- Line manage and develop the POS Assistant

Essential Experience and Skills:

- Knowledge and experience of working in a commercial design and production environment, with specific experience in the following areas:
*Graphic design
*Artwork production
*Print production

- Project management
- People management
- Budgetary management
- Experience briefing for design/art direction projects
- Preparation of documents such as briefs and print sheets

Desired but not essential:

- Design or production qualification
- Project management qualification such as Prince 2
- Hands-on experience using Indesign/Quark
- Experience within a retail business
