Job Description
Project management responsibilities for managing and coordinating the complete design and print process, working within the head office of a blue-chip food & beverage manufacturer.
Provide support and advice for internal and external customers (retailers) in order to deliver projects to market to agreed deadlines and within set budgets.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordination and management of all allocated branded and Retailer Packaging Origination projects
• Liaising with Commercial, Marketing, and Procurement teams, retail customers, agencies and Repro houses to progress projects to meet target launch dates
• Working closely with Marketing and design agencies to ensure adequate briefing to achieve workable final design concepts and clear layout/positioning guides for generating artwork
• Running and/or attending brand design and retailer pre-press handover meetings – organising /confirming attendees, communicating agreed actions
• Providing adequate briefing to Artwork/Repro companies to enable the creation of printable artworks
• Through the use of the package, allocate project participants, set critical path estimated timelines, monitor and actively progress artwork approvals, check final Repro files and publish final printable file to library
• Attending project planning and review meetings, reporting artwork status and budget situation as necessary
• Attending Print Press Passes for key range launches at packaging suppliers as necessary. Ensuring control and authorisation of colour standards throughout the process
Essential Skills/Experience
• High level of Project Management and organisation skills
• High level of Project Management skills
• IT literate (MS Project, Excel, Word, Adobe)
• Commonsense and proactive approach
• Thrives under pressure
Knowledge of print processes - flexo,litho,gravure
• Keen eye for detail and quality
• Experience of artwork project coordination and origination
• Knowledge of origination processes – artwork criticism, copy checking, repro grips/layering, colour management
