Job Description

Packaging Manager – Food Categories
£40,000 - £48,000 + bonus (15% - 30% pa), pension, life assurance, private medical cover scheme

To manage the development & production of packaging to support new product development, product relaunches and range extensions & a team of 8 packaging co-ordinators/prpject managers.

To work with Category Teams to deliver packaging initiatives,co-ordinate activity to meet the marketing & development plan across the trading areas, with packaging developed and produced on time.
Cost effective production and delivery of all packaging (on brief and to budget).
Accurate information (including technical packaging briefs) and samples conveyed to the Design & Production Planning team, through weekly planning meetings.
Ensure Artwork and Repro produced in line with the agreed critical path and budget across the trading area.
Performance management & developing the packaging co-ordinator team, with line responsibility.
Initiating and controlling relevant aspects of packaging production, taking ownership for sign off of key print runs.
Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of packaging innovation developments and communicate with product developers/technologists on opportunities for inclusion.
Manage relationship with design agencies.
