Add a New Vacancy
Here are some navigations tips when adding your vacancy:
It really couldn’t be quicker. When you login to your Recruiter account it is the first option on the menu.
Please see our Recruiter User Guide on how to write an effective Job Advert.
A couple of Tips we would give are:
Job Title:
Always maximise the Job Title by including any specific Market Sector or Skill.
ie. "Account Manager – Direct Mail" this ensures that it immediately pulls the eye of the right Job Seekers and dramatically increases the accuracy of the Search Feature on the major search engines such as Google.
The more specific you are on Market Sector within the Job Title further improves the relevance of applications. So we would always recommend including this within the title.
Salary Fields:
You will also notice that the site asks for the Salary to be entered twice:
The first one is the Salary Box that will be displayed in the vacancy for the viewers to see, this could be £ Negotiable etc.
The second request is for a Salary Band, from and to. This is hidden from the viewer but essential for our Search and Match service. Job Seekers often ask to be notified of new Job Postings that match their aspirations as opposed to their actual needs, so it is worthwhile keeping this as wide as possible. Eg. If the salary offered is £35000 pa, then enter 25000 in the “from box” and 40000 in the “to box”. This will maximise your results.
When completing the salary "from" and "to" fields, always enter the full Salary, again if it is 35000 please enter all the zeros, if you enter 35k the system will assume this is only 35 per year. PLEASE NEVER ENTER ANY PUNCTUATION, SIMPLY 35000 or whatever the actual salary is, but no commas or full stops.
Locations:
We offer you the ability to select from up to five counties within the "Primary" location box.
eg. If you have a Sales Vacancy covering the Northern Home Counties, please select Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
To the right hand side of these, we also offer a "Secondary" location box, once you have selected the "Primary" county location you can also add a specific city, town or village. This secondary location field is not mandatory, but will improve your results.
eg. If you have a Production Manager vacancy which must be based in Milton Keynes, then you should select a "Primary" location of "Buckinghamshire" and then enter "Milton Keynes" with the "Secondary" location box.
Don’t worry about being too specific on location, as Job Seekers can set their New Job Alerts and perform searches on the site ranging from 10 miles up to 40 miles from their desired place of work.
Description:
Please note that the main body of text in the advert can be added via either free type OR copy and paste from a Word document.
Duration:
Each vacancy will stay live for 30 days, after 28 days you will receive a 48 hour advance notice of expiry. At this point you can visit your account and renew the vacancy for a further 30 days if required. If you choose not to renew, then the vacancy will be stored in your "Archived Vacancies" enabling you to retrieve it for use at a later date if required.
Pre-Screening Questions:
We have all experienced it, regardless of the advertising media Newspaper, Magazine or Job Board; people often apply for jobs that they are just not suitable for.
Costing you time and inconvenience... well not anymore!
We have always ensured that all Job Seekers who register with oZZle have industry experience... now we go even further:
oZZle "Application Screener"
- Add 5 Key interview questions within the vacancy posting
- If you have selected the auto-reject option and the applicant does not select the correct answer, the system will automatically reject them for you.
- They will receive a polite rejection email from our system.
- Once a Job Seeker has applied for a vacancy they are automatically blocked from trying again.
- You will be informed that they had applied, but need take no further action.
Leaving you time to get on with the business of only dealing with truly suitable applicants.
In the event that circumstances or the job description changes, these rejected applications will be stored in the Rejected folder of your Application Tracker, enabling you to consider them should you wish.
